Winter Beauty Tips for The Skin | LHERITIER 1789

It is Winter, you need to scrape off the dead-skin and slap on moisturizers

Retail therapy is a wonderful thing, and as you will be spending your hard earned currency to buy trinkets for those you love, do not forget to spoil yourself. On that note, choosing the right skincare items during the cold season is recommended particularly if you want your skin to look bright at all times, and even more radiant during spring. Cold weather is known to strip off moisture by dehydrating the skin, causing it to crack up, making it look a bit reptilian. If you are not keen on looking like a reptile, the answer is to have simple beauty rituals. We have some suggestions below:

  • Every 3 weeks, remove dead skin layers and unclog pores by exfoliating your entire body using gentle yet nourishing scrubs;
  • After exfoliating, massage yourself with pure plant-oils to promote circulation;
  • Rub a fresh lemon around your face and leave the juice on your face/body for 3 minutes before rinsing. Lemon is a great toner;
  • To reduce puffiness, use wet Green Tea teabags by placing them under the eyes and leave for a few minutes;
  • Use plant-oil based soaps such as Avocado Soap, Mango Soap, Sunset Oil, Candlenut, etc to cleanse and moisturize simultaneously;
  • Use warm water as opposed to hot water to open up your pores;
  • Use body creams to seal moisture after shower when staying indoors;
  • Use body butters plus body creams when stepping outside to seal moisture and to protect;
  • Use plant-based body sponges/bath accessories to gently rinse off body scrubs when exfoliating;
  • Drink lots of water, and drink green tea to soak up your cells with antioxidants;
  • Towards the end of December and at the beginning of spring, do an internal cleanse of the Liver, Kidney, Colon, Endocrine, Circulatory, and Digestive systems (Do it over 14 days, don't rush);
  • Ladies, to mitigate bloating symptoms related to PMS, use Evening Primrose Oil or Sage Tea;
  • Enhance your digestive health by eating non-fat Yogurt made of GMO-free/ rBGH-free milk.

LHERITIER 1789 has various products mentioned above that you can add to your skincare basket such as body butters, body creams, soaps, scrubs, and massage oils.

Always Choose the Right Cleansers and Soaps | LHERITIER 1789

Choosing the right soaps to incorporate into your cleansing ritual is paramount for anyone who is concerned about the well being of the largest organ of the human body. In as much as using cleansers such as soaps is ideal for removing dirt and accumulated dead skin from the skin, one needs to be careful about the kind of cleansers they choose.

One should avoid using soaps that when used, they make the skin feel dry, tight, and ashy as this is a sign that the soap in question not only cleanses, but also robs the skin of the necessary oils that keep it moist and supple. Depending on your allergy to nuts, you must also be careful about the soap you use as most companies process their products in containers that may have been used to process products based on tree-nut oils. Keep in mind that many brands tout that their soaps are "Organic" or "All natural" while in a sense when you read their labels, one often notices that the first few ingredients are natural while the rest bear confusing scientific names of synthetically derived components. However, there are several brands in online and retail space such as LHERITIER 1789 that stand behind the ingredients that they use in their soaps and cleansers. LHERITIER 1789's soaps are all free of synthetics/questionable GMO-additives and are handcrafted at a very small humble facility.

There is a very powerful benefit of using soaps that moisturize, nourish, and revitalize the skin. So never rule out the idea of using a soap made from a natural plant-oil as a base.
